ALCOA, Tenn. (WVLT) -- One person is dead, and two are injured after a three-car crash on Topside Rd. near Lakeview Rd. in Blount County, Volunteer TV's Stephen McLamb reports.
The wreck happened around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Alcoa police say 55-year-old Terry Spencer of Knoxville crossed the center line in his Dodge Ram and hit 31-year-old Troy Adkins' Honda Accord head on.
Adkins, who is from Louisville, was killed instantly.
A 3-year-old child was in the vehicle with Adkins and is in the pediatric intensive care unit at UT Medical Center in "very serious" condition, according to police.
Spencer is also serious condition at UT Medical Center, police say.
Topside Road was temporarily closed between Singleton Station Rd. and Alcoa Highway.
A third car suffered minor damage. Police are still investigating the accident.
