Knoxville (AP) -- An employee of the Jewelry Television home-shopping channel has been arrested on charges of stealing nearly $30,000 in jewelry from the company.
A spokeswoman for the Knox County Sheriff's Office says 49-year-old Wanda June Johnson of Alcoa was charged with theft and released Monday on $25,000 bond.
A sheriff's report states an unidentified co-worker was videotaped in late February placing the jewelry in a tub at the network's distribution center, then Johnson was recorded taking the tub to her car on March second.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Martha Dooley says the co-worker has not been charged, but the investigation is continuing.
