Knoxville (WVLT) -- The crash of thunder was drowned out by the sound of crash pins this afternoon on Western Avenue.
Today's 25th Annual Bowl for Kids Sake concluded with its participants on pace to raise more money than expected.
Each bowler contributed at least $25 to help benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tennessee Valley.
In all the event lasted three weeks and took place at three different bowling alleys.
According to staff, they host the yearly event to have fun while increasing awareness about mentoring.
