Burst of wet snow overnight will linger into Saturday morning. Trace to 2 inches for the Valley, but more for the Plateau and Smokies. While most of it will stick on grassy surfaces initially, please drive carefully, as visibilities will drop with the burst of snow.
(WVLT) - A car accident in Morristown has left a local preacher dead and another person in the hospital.
Morristown police say 74-year-old Reverend Paul Devotie was trying to cross Davy Crockett Parkway in his truck Thursday, when he pulled in front of another car and was hit.
Police say Reverend Devotie was thrown from the vehicle.
He died of his injuries.
The driver of the other car, 24-year-old Melissa Snell, was taken to U.T. Medical Center and is in stable condition this morning.
The Morristown Citizen Tribune reports Devotie was the pastor at the Home Mission Church in Morristown and he was on his way to a wedding when the crash happened.
