Alcoa (WVLT) Three of four lanes of a section of the Alcoa Highway bypass in Blount County are back open at this hour due to a gas leak.
Around 9:45 this morning, 9-1-1 dispatchers report that a piece of construction equipment broke a gas main.
Emergency crews immediately closed Alcoa Highway both directions between Hall Road and Louisville Road while the gas main was shut down.
All lanes but one northbound lane have been reopened.
There have been no reports of injuries.
