Two Hospitalized after Car Crash

(WVLT) -Two people are in the hospital after a serious car accident in Knox County that also knocked out power to about 1,000 KUB customers.

Emergency crews responded to the accident just before midnight on Ball Camp Pike near Hazelnut Lane and found a car smashed into a power pole.

The car had major damage and crews had to cut away the roof to get to the two people inside.

Paramedics took one of the victims to U.T. Medical Center by Lifestar.

The other was taken by ambulance, also to U.T. Medical Center.

Right now, there's no word on the victims' conditions or a possible cause for the crash.

KUB reported that over 1,000 lost power after the accident.
