Truck Hits Power Lines; Alcoa HWY Reopen

Maryville, Blount County (WVLT) - Alcoa Highway has reopened after a truck snags a power line, just south of McGhee-Tyson Airport.

According to officials, a semi truck hit a low power line, ripping the top of the truck off.

WVLT's Pete Michaels said at one point backups went on for miles north and south of the area.

It took crews more than three hours to safely clear the scene.
