Bluffton, SC (WVLT/AP) - Authorities say a man arrested in South Carolina for bank robbery may have robbed up to 40 banks in several states, including Tennessee and Kentucky, before being captured.
FBI agents say 43-year-old William Cobb was taken into custody Friday near his home in Cottageville, South Carolina.
Two weeks ago, officers searched his vehicle and found three wigs, two baseball caps, two fake mustaches and make-up.
Cobb also has two missing fingers, matching the description of a suspect the FBI wanted in connection with several bank robberies.
Right now, Cobb is only charged with a robbery at a Bluffton, South Carolina, bank, but more charges are expected to be filed.
