CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Three people were arrested at a Claiborne County apartment complex Monday night on a variety of drug related charges.
Tazewell Police said the bust occurred at an apartment unit belonging to Donald E. Thomas, 43 and located at 1710 Eppes Street.
Thomas had apparently been under investigation by police who were able to secure a search warrant for his apartment. They served the warrant with help from the 8th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department and New Tazewell Police Department.
Officers said they arrested Thomas in his apartment for possession of Schedule II and VI narcotics for the purpose of resale in a drug free zone, possession of Schedule III narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tracy Bussell, 26 and Anthony N. Bell, 28 were also arrested at the scene. Bussell was charged with possession of Schedule III narcotics and Bell was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant issued by the Union County Criminal Court.
Besides the arrests, officers were able to seize drugs and cash from the apartment. The case is still considered under investigation.
