Toddler Found Wandering Knoxville Streets

Knoxville (WVLT) - No charges have been filed against a mother who's child was found wandering in Knoxville alone Friday.

KPD officials say a call came in around 10:35 a.m. to the 911 Center saying a young girl was wandering around Emerald Avenue alone in a diaper.

Police were able to locate the mother who was inside a residence on Oak Hill.

They say the mother was unaware the child was missing.

DCS was called to the scene; they are planning to investigate the incident.

Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.

I wouldn't be overly quick to judge, kids are quick sometimes and can get into a lot before a person just turns around

How can you not know your child is missing. There should be charges. This child could have been killed on the street.
