Dandridge, Jefferson County (WVLT) - A man Cocke County authorities say along with another jail inmate, escaped from jail several days ago is behind bars.
Jefferson County Sheriff David Davenport tells WVLT deputies there arrested William Swafford at a trailer in Dandridge at about 6:00pm Saturday night.
Police in Cocke County have been looking for Swafford and Gary Harris after they say the two overpowered to guards on April 27th, locked them in a cell with some inmates, and then took off.
Both men were in jail originally on burglary charges.
Harris is still on the loose tonight.
