Knoxville (WVLT) -- An argument among friends has left a man beaten with a baseball bat.
Alcoa police say three men got in a heated argument while driving back to Knoxville after shopping in Blount County.
After the driver pulled his truck behind the Hampton Inn near the airport, police say he punched the man who was riding in the middle seat
Once out of the truck, investigators say, the third man swung a baseball bat, and hit the man in the arm. He also used the bat to crush the victims cell phone.
The victim walked to a nearby sub shop and contacted police about the assault.
Police say he only suffered minor injuries.
The other two men left the scene and officers are still investigating.
It's not clear yet, whether police will file charges.
