Man Arrested for Shooting off Semi-Automatic Weapon

East Knoxville (WVLT) -- One person is behind bars accused of shooting a semi-automatic weapon.

Authorities say the man was possibly trying scare his neighbors.

The Knoxville Police Department responded to the house on the 3900 block of Porter Avenue at about 10:00pm Sunday night.

Investigators say they took the man that fired the shots into custody, along with a woman on disorderly conduct charges.

Police also searched the home and say they found some drugs and more weapons.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Officers are not releasing the name of suspect at this time, or the charges he will face.
