Blinding Sunlight Blamed for Child Hit by Car

Knoxville (WVLT) - Blinding sunlight is being blamed for an accident Tuesday morning involving two 13-year-old Knoxville boys.

The Knox County Sheriff's Department say about 7:30 a.m., the two boys were crossing the road on Fox Lonas at Fox Breeze Way, trying to get to their bus stop.

According to the boys and witnesses, they didn't see the car until it was too late; one boy was able to jump out of the way.

The second boy was hit by the car and taken to Parkwest for treatment.

Both teens are expected to make a full recovery.

The driver of the car, whose name is not being released, has not been charged.
