Fire at Washington Airport Could Delay Flights into Knoxville

Washington, DC (WVLT) - The air control tower at Dulles International Airport is working out of a backup site right now after fumes cleared the tower Wednesday morning.

The airport remains open.

But if you're flying out of McGhee Tyson heading to our nation's capitol or expecting a flight in-bound on United Airlines from Dulles, expect delays.

United Airlines says it's 2:00 p.m. departure is delayed about a half an hour and they've been notified to expect more delays through 6:00 p.m.
