Plainview (WVLT) -- Union County officials have arrested the man they say robbed a North Knoxville bank earlier this week.
Russell Dale Brooks, 47, was taken into custody around 1:00 this afternoon at the home he shares with his mother in Plainview.
Just before the arrest a Plainview police officer received a tip on Brooks where-abouts.
He is currently being transferred to the Knox County jail to face robbery charges.
Union County officials say Brooks also has a pending plea agreement in their county for an aggravated burglary charge.
Yesterday, Knox County officials spotted his escape vehicle off Clapps Chapel Road. They spent several hours search the Gibbs area for the man before calling off the search.
Brooks was captured after a joint investigation between the Union County Sheriff's Office, Plainview Police Department, Knoxville Police Department, Knox County Sheriff's Office and the FBI.
