Knoxville (WVLT) -- Baby steps turned into a mile-long walk this morning, aimed at promoting healthy babies.
For four years now, the Lisa Ross Birth and Women's Center has put on their annual walk, to teach folks about its mission.
Those participating in today's walk enjoyed food, games and door prizes.
"It helps our clients and our supporters realize what we are trying to do in the community in our outreach efforts," said Carmen Pitts who helped organize the event. "Hopefully it tells the community that we are here, and were here to help them and to help find services that women need in the community."
All collected donations, will go to the outreach events of the Communities For Healthy Babies.
