Nine Arrested In Prostitution Sting

Knoxville (WVLT) -- Once again, warm weather has brought out the world's oldest profession.

And once again, police have staged a sting to stop it.

Officers from the Knoxville Police Department set up shop near Magnolia and Central avenues from 11 o'clock last night until four this morning.

During the sting they've arrested 9 people on a total of 18 charges.

Those charges include prostitution, possession of drug paraphernalia and outstanding warrants.

If police would concentrate their time with violent offenders and property crimes then they would be doing there job. Catching prostitutes and their customers (except wives in divorce court or taking weman out to dinner)is much easier and a whole lot safer than taking on gangs and catching illegal aliens. Illegal aliens kill 30- 40 people per day, I sure bet those customers are doing the same, I mean lets keep out prioties straight. We cannot have sex for money, unless it is in movies or actresses stripping on screen for money, or ordinary dating and it just is not mentioned. Women take money for sex all the time but most are not called prostitutes and men pay for sex all the time. It is a women's body, why can she not decide what she wants to do with her own body. That is the argument used for abortion. I guess women simply cannot make up their own mind, they are so confused, and these men, we must protect them from themselves. Oh thank-you mama government

Yes, police are certainly another problem deteriorating our society when they have too much time on their hands at taxpayers expense with nothing of any real significance to do. So, they resort to harrassing prostitutes and their clients. Laws against providing sex for money are stupid and need to be repealed. All over the world since the time of man began sex has taken place, so why is it that the exchange of money makes it a crime? If you are married or otherwise in a relationship I guarantee you are exchanging SOMETHING for sexual intimacy with your partner... and it might even be something in regard to your PAYCHECK! At the very least you are spending money for 1)a place to HAVE sex, 2)transportaion to get there(even if the place you are having sex happens to be your car), 3)food, 4)entertainment,and 5)gifts,(which might even be CASH MONEY from time to time). Also, you are dedicating your TIME to the relationship, which is more valuable than anything else. Think about it. If you are having sex it is costing you something!
