Knoxville (WVLT) -- Mothers with kids at Children's Hospital were given a special treat this morning.
Carnations, candies, coupons and a mother's day card from their child, even the newborns.
Today was Kristi Akers very first Mother's Day with four week old Samuel.
Samuel had some setbacks with a hard delivery showing some brain damage and seizures, but Kristi says a test two days ago came back perfectly normal.
"We didn't know he would be here, so it's awesome," Akers said. "It's awesome and we get to go home today, so that's an even greater gift that we get to go home today. Just that he's here and he's healthy and god has just healed his body completely."
About one hundred moms received the gift packages with the help of Food City, Walmart and Hershey.
