Knox Schools Begins Superintendent Search

Knoxville (WVLT) - The Knox County School Board is trying to figure out what kind of person they want as the new superintendent.

Board members are meeting for most of the day, discussing qualities and qualifications.

They say they're not necessarily concerned with the speed of the search, but want to get it right.

They agree public input is important and plan to hold at least one community forum at some point.

Monday afternoon, they'll decide whether or not to hire a search firm.

ONE community forum? Big deal. I suppose the input from the citizens will receive JUST as much consideration as the rezoning. Why not just keep their current Superintendent and not hire anyone until WE have paid off their debt for Dr. Lindsay?
