Loudon County (WVLT) - Police in Loudon County are searching for a Kingston man they say stole a semi-truck in Florida and drove it to East Tennessee.
Loudon County Sheriff Tim Guider identified the suspect as Edward George Goforth.
Guider says Goforth led police in Calhoun, Tennessee on a chase up I-75.
Guider says Goforth abandoned the truck early this morning on I-75 near the Philadelphia exit in Loudon County.
Dispatchers say he is now on foot.
Goforth is a white man, 5'11'', 180 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a long black coat, jeans and black boots.
Goforth's girlfriend is being held by police at this hour. She says she was being held against her will by Goforth for two weeks.
Right now, Guider says she is being treated for some injuries at a local hospital.
If you've seen someone matching Goforth's description, call 911 immediately.
