Knoxville (WVLT) - Knoxville Firefighters are trying to figure out what started a fire that damaged a home in South Knoxville.
Firefighters tell us the house was fully engulfed in 30 to 40 foot flames when they arrived on the scene at Blount Avenue just after 8:30 Thursday evening.
High winds and a brush growing around the empty home presented a problem for firefighters.
Neighbors tell us the home has been empty for several years.
Firefighters aren't sure at this point how it was started. No one was injured.
