Knoxville (WVLT) - Local authorities need your help finding a man they say broke into a home in North Knoxville while the homeowner was still inside.

Knoxville Police say the robber opened the unlocked door of a home on the 2600 block of Barton Street Thursday afternoon and went in.

Officers say the homeowner was still inside and startled the robber, who then demanded the homeowner's wallet, took his money, and then left.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid to late 30's.

He was last seen wearing white shorts and a white shirt with a backwards hat.
