(WVLT) - Knoxville police are questioning a man they say stabbed another man in line at a homeless dinner last night.
The Knoxville Police Department says two men were in line getting food at the Wednesday night supper hosted by the Lost Sheep Ministry under a bridge near Blackstock and McGhee Avenue, when they got into an argument.
Officers say one of the men took out a knife and stabbed the other in the torso.
An off-duty Knox County Sheriff's Deputy working security detained the suspect until police arrived.
Investigators say charges are pending against him.
Paramedics took the victim to Fort Sanders, where they say he has non-life threatening injuries.
