Andersonville (WVLT) -- Despite efforts by witnesses and medical crews, a 16 year old Clinton teen has drown in a park.
Anderson County Park officials say it happened in the early yesterday evening.
Several people were swimming in a public swim area on Norris Lake when Brandon Osborne went down and didn't come back up.
Osborne had been swimming about 80 feet off the shore in 12 feet of water.
A bystander jumped in the lake and after several attempts, was able to pull Osborne up to the surface.
The bystander and a park official performed CPR on Osborne.
When emergency crews arrived the teen had a pulse, but he passed away early this morning after being taken by Lifestar to UT Medical Center.
Brandon Osborne's family will hold a viewing tomorrow evening from 6-8 PM at the Jones Mortuary in Clinton.
The funeral will follow at 8 PM.
Osborne will be laid to rest at the Sunset Cemetery in Clinton on Sunday at 2 PM.
