Knoxville (WVLT) -- About twenty years ago, pop star's playing concerts at the mall were all the rage.
Two decades later that group appears to have matured.
On Saturday afternoon, Knoxville's West Town Mall was transformed from shoppers haven to culinary central.
Crowds packed a small area near the JC Penny's to witness popular TV chef Warren Brown from the Food Network share some of his kitchen secrets.
According to organizers, the event was more than just meeting a TV star.
"Today it's all about wine, cooking, shopping," said Kelly Mikesell, Vice President of Development for the Simone Property Group, owners of West Town Mall.
At one point Volunteer TV's own Chef Walter joined Chef Brown on stage.
The event was part of a 25 mall tour that makes weekly West Town's sister malls around the nation.
