Knoxville (WVLT) - A father and son are in police custody, charged with working together to steal prescription medications from a woman.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Food City in Bearden.
According to the warrant, Barton Harrell went inside the Food City and scoped out a victim getting her prescription refilled.
As she left, police say Harrell called his son and he attacked her.
"The son ran up to her, he knew that was the victim that his father had picked out and he ran up to her and knocked her down while grabbing the prescriptions out of her hand and he fled the scene,” says KPD Spokesman Darrell DeBusk.
The whole thing was caught on tape.
Police used the surveillance video from Food City, got the license plate of the suspect's SUV and arrested them that night at home.
Both Harrell and his son are charged with robbery.
The woman did not suffer any serious injuries.
