(WVLT) - Former Knox County Sheriff Tim Hutchison is now a retired man.
Hutchison served five terms as sheriff until term limits took him out of office earlier this year.
Since then, he's served as chief deputy under Sheriff J.J. Jones.
On Thursday night, hundreds of colleagues and county residents turned out for his retirement party at the Expo Center.
"I'm very humbled by the turnout, I can't tell you how appreciative I am to the community and the support i've always received," said Hutchison. "It's been a lot of fun, it's been a great career, and it's a great community and I had great employees that always made me look good!"
Hutchison says he plans to use his free time to enjoy his grandchildren.
