Jacksboro (WVLT) -- The Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County sponsored its First Annual Music Fest today at Campbell County High School.
The festival featured 15 groups performing music from a wide range of genres including bluegrass, southern gospel, rap and heavy metal.
"We plan on making it an annual event," said Sharon Cordell with the Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County, "every year we'll have some kind of music festival which will consist of either country or gospel or we may you know just have a variety of music each year and were hoping to bring a lot of larger entertainers out, maybe next year if we can."
The group hopes to raise $50,000 for the new club.
The concert will go on until 11:00 and will conclude with a fireworks show at 10:45.
