(WVLT) - Gateway Computers are recalling thousands of of lithium-ion battery packs because some shipped with some Gateway notebook computers pose a fire danger.
They say the battery packs can overheat and pose a fire hazard.
Gateway has received four reports of battery packs overheating, including minor property damage.
No injuries have been reported.
About 14,000 battery packs have been shipped as the primary or spare power sources for two series of notebooks.
The commission says this is not an internal battery cell defect.
