Knoxville (WVLT) - The search continues this afternoon for a man who hasn't been seen in more than 24 hours.
Authorities say the man didn't show up for work Wednesday morning and before he left his construction job Tuesday afternoon, he told co-workers he was going swimming at the Cove in Concord Park.
Maintenance crews at the park found the missing man's car and some of his belongings.
Knox County Chief Deputy Tom Spangler says search crews are trying to stay optimistic. “We're hoping for the best right now we're just looking and doing what we can for right now.”
The man's name has not been released.
