1 Pulled From Pigeon River After Car Plunges into Water

Sevier County (WVLT) - Sevier County authorities are working to get a vehicle out of the Pigeon River off Red Bank Road.

Officials tell WVLT they got the call at 2:45 this afternoon.

Crews tell us a 19-year-old man was rescued from the water, and taken to UT Medical Center.

His name is not being released at this time.

Rescue crews did search the area to make sure there were no other victims.

Correction: Earlier Reports stated that the man died in the accident. WVLT has now confirmed that the man did not die.
