Knoxville (WVLT) Knoxville Police say speed played a role in an early morning crash that killed a Seymour woman.

Dispatchers say a jeep, driven by April Johnson, 22 went off the flyover ramp from I-640 West to I-40 East, around 4:00 this morning.

Police say the vehicle landed on it's top in the embankment.

Johnson was transported to UT Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the accident, but say they believe speed played a factor.

As much as I miss April, I know now that she is with her mom. I know she is truly happy now. I miss her, and wish we wouldn't have lost touch. Its sad, but her death made me and my close friends that hung out with April realize that we need to keep in touch and never take life for granted. I'll always love you April!!
