(WVLT) - Investigators believe alcohol and drugs were a factor in an accident in Roane County that left one person dead and one hurt.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says they believe 24 year-old Bryan Howard had been drinking when he was driving on Highway 327 Tuesday night.
His car went into the oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle head-on.
The driver of that car, 28 year-old Bradley Lively of Harriman, was killed.
Howard is at U.T. Medical Center in serious condition.
Police say charges are pending against him.
