A LOCAL 8 WEATHER ALERT is in effect into Wednesday due repeated rainfall. A Flood Watch is in effect for our area until 7 AM Wednesday. Where there are more pauses in the rain, totals will be closer to 2 inches but some will receive at least 4 inches of rainfall total. Creeks and streams run high and areas with poor runoff could face flooding problems. Busy commute hours could face more slowdowns, with fog and standing water on roads as well.
Knoxville (WVLT) -- On July 14th, the March of Dimes and UT Medical Center will come together and give a presentation on prenatal brain development at the Knoxville Babies-R-Us.
The presentation will be on developing a baby's mind before birth.
Each person in attendance will receive a bag that contains a book and CD of lullabies for expectant mothers to share with the baby in their womb.
The bag is called a "Prenatal Brain Bag".
Also in it is a video, several brochures, and other information for a mother to use to help maximize her chances of delivering a healthy baby.
The next "Prenatal Brain Bag" presentation will be next Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Babies-R-Us located at 9626 Kingston Pike.
