UT Student Dies While Studying in Paris

Knoxville (WVLT) - An investigation is underway into the death of a University of Tennessee student who died Sunday while on trip abroad.

Twenty-one-year-old Nathan Boals, of Hixson, was a senior in communication studies.

UT's communications office says Boals was one of eight UT students on a trip led by Kenneth Levine, an assistant professor of communication studies, to Paris, France.

Levine reported that Boals' body was found lying at the bottom of a stairwell at 5 p.m. Sunday, Paris time.

There was no preliminary evidence of foul play.
