Whitley County, KY (WVLT) - The man police say was driving drunk when he caused a deadly accident in Whitley County, Kentucky is from East Tennessee.
The crash happened at about 9:00 p.m. Monday night on I-75 in Whitley County, Kentucky, just north of the Tennessee border.
Kentucky State Police say Raymond Garner of Andersonville was driving drunk when he lost control of his pick-up truck, crossed the median, and hit three other vehicles.
Two people died and one of the victims was pregnant.
At least five other people were hurt, several of them children.
There is no word on their conditions.
Raymond Garner wasn't seriously hurt in the crash.
Police have now charged him with three counts of murder and drunk driving.
The crash shut down both directions of I-75 in the area for several hours.
Both directions are now reopened.
