Murder Charges Filed in Connection with Human Remains Found in Barrel

Laurel County, Kentucky (WVLT) Police still don't know who was killed in a barrel in Kentucky.

But they have a suspect, and tonight he faces charges.

Tony Clayton Hodge, 26 was already in jail in Madison County, Kentucky on murder charges there when Laurel County, Kentucky deputies served the new warrant Tuesday.

Hodge is charged with a new murder charge.

Laurel County deputies say human remains were found inside a barrel in Lily, Kentucky by a man and his daughter on June 21st.

Deputies say bullets were inside the barrel, and the barrel had bullet holes in it.

The Laurel County coroner says the remains were of a man, and may have been in the barrel as long as two years.
