Knoxville (WVLT) - Rural Metro says they've added ambulances across Knox County to help speed up their response time.
They're posting one extra unit in Karns and Seymour, 24 hours a day.
They say they are also adding an advance life support unit in Gibbs during peak hours.
The new plan is their way to move toward better compliance with their contract with Knox County.
In May, they were penalized $97,500 over slow response times.
