Fountain City (WVLT) -- Have you ever toured a mansion for a good cause?
The Consumer Credit Counseling Service of East Tennessee is a non-profit organization that helps people deal with money problems.
Today, it hosted a special tour of the Sterchi Mansion in order to raise money for its financial education programs.
"This is the first time we have ever had to come to the public for money, but foreclosure prevention is such an emergency," said Faith Tapp, president of the East Tennessee Consumer Credit Counseling Service. "It's such a crisis for so many families, so this is the cause that motivated us to have our first fundraiser."
CCCS counselors have agreements with most major lenders to help restore a your mortgage.
