Charges Possible in Asheville HWY Crash

Knoxville (WVLT) - Charges could be filed in connection with a deadly accident on Asheville Highway.

Knoxville Police say 60-year-old Claude Simpson was driving east near Brakebill Road when he rear ended a car, the car then hit an SUV.

Simpson's passenger, 35-year-old Anthony McLemore died in the crash.

Simpson and the two people in the car were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No one in the SUV was injured.

Investigators say it does appear alcohol played a factor in the crash.
