Lenoir City (WVLT) -- Not everyone can enjoy a hot summer's day with a dip in the lake, but that is quickly changing.
The Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center hosted the Festival of Friend's this afternoon at Lenoir City Park.
It featured live music, food, and information about rehab center's outdoor rec programs.
According to its coordinator, the rec program helps people with physical and mental challenges do things they normally wouldn't be able to.
"What we try to do is provide an opportunity for individuals who have challenges and want to get out there, get back in life and be given an opportunity to have fun," said Al Kaye, the programs coordinator.
The Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center runs about six outdoor programs a year.
Each requires about 75 volunteers.
Those who participate get to water ski, tube, and even use a moon bounce.
