KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Knox County fugitive facing rape and incest charges has been taken into custody in Oklahoma.
CBS affiliate KWTV in Oklahoma City reports Antez Dieffenderfer, 20 was arrested at a Greyhound bus terminal in downtown Oklahoma City earlier this week. He had apparently skipped bond in Knoxville and traveled to the city in order to sell magazine subscriptions door-to-door.
Dieffenderfer was originally arrested on May 2nd, 2008 and charged with rape and incest. According to the warrant from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, he had sex multiple times between November 2007 and January 2008 with a family member he knew was “mentally defective and physically helpless.”
The arrest occurred at the end of his senior year at South-Doyle High School. Dieffenderfer was a standout defensive end on the Cherokee’s football team. He also ran track and wrestled for the school.
It is unclear when he will be extradited back to East Tennessee.
