South Knoxville (WVLT) -Knoxville fire investigators say they now know what caused a fire that seriously damaged six units at the Montgomery Village Apartment complex Sunday night.

Witnesses told firefighters someone set fire to mattresses piled up at the base of one building.

Flames traveled up the building and got into the roof.
Luckily firefighters stopped the flames before they engulfed the whole building.

The good news, no one was injured.
