New Archbishop in Louisville, KY

(Louisville, KY) WVLT-A new era begins today in Louisville, Kentucky.

Earlier this year, Knoxville's former Bishop, the Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz was installed as the new Arch-Bishop of the Louisville Arch-Diocese.

His installation ceremony was held at the Louisville Gardens.

Arch-Bishop Kurtz became the head of the Knoxville Diocese in 1999.

It was announced in June Bishop Kurtz was leaving to accept the position in Louisville.

He is replacing Thomas Kelly who retired.

No word on who is replacing Bishop Kurtz here in Knoxville.
