Fort Campbell Soldier Killed In Iraq

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) -- A Fort Campbell soldier from Massachusetts was killed last week in a non-combat accident in Iraq.

The Pentagon announced that 29-year-old Army Staff Sergeant Alicia A. Birchett of Mashpee, Massachusetts, died last Thursday in Baghdad of injuries from the accident. Details of the accident were not released.

She was assigned to the 887th Engineer Company, 326th Engineer Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell.
