Knoxville (WVLT) -- Crews from the Knoxville Utility Board are working to repair a 30-inch water main break on Riverside Drive, just east of downtown.
KUB officials tell us the main broke around noon, just in front of the water treatment plant on Riverside drive.
Most of Knoxville experienced low water pressure and some parts of town had no water.
Crews valved off the water supply to the main around 1:00 pm.
Since then they have been working to pump out water that collected in a hole around the main.
KUB crews will work through the night to repair the main and patch the road.
Until then, Riverside Drive is closed between Laurans Avenue and Lombard Place.
The cause of the break is unknown.
