Rider Killed In N. Knoxville

Knoxville (WVLT) -- Knoxville Police are investigating a deadly motorcycle wreck on North Broadway.

Investigators say it happened around noon when a 1-ton box truck stopped at a bus stop to pick up a passenger.

When the truck tried to make a U-turn from the bus stop, it pulled out in front of a motorcycle.

The motorcycle collided with the truck's front end.

It's rider was thrown from the bike and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still notifying the family.

No further information has been released.
