Knoxville (WVLT) -- Thousands of new and returning University of Tennessee students moved onto campus this weekend.
Classes begin Wednesday, but the majority of students finished moving in today.
Total campus enrollment is expected to be more than 26,500, good for about a 3 percent increase from last school year.
More than 4,300 freshman said good-bye to their parents this weekend.
According to some parent's, tougher for more parents, than students.
"I think probably like every other parent here I have very mixed emotions," said Michelle Besuden, the mother of a UT freshman. "I'm happy for her and at the same time I'm sad. I want her home. I like seeing her little face in the morning, but it's an awesome opportunity for her."
