I-75 Reopens After Tractor Trailer Fire

Anderson County (WVLT) - I-75 in Anderson County is back open after a tractor trailer fire shut it down for several hours.

The sheriff's department tells us the trailer was hauling furniture when it caught fire just after midnight at around the 120 mile marker.

Fire crews shut down Southbound traffic while they put out the flames and cleared the scene, backing up traffic for about two miles.

The road opened back up again at about 4:00 a.m.

The driver of the trailer wasn't hurt.

Investigators believe the brakes may have overheated and started the fire.
